Privacy Policy

When you use Finanski, we collect:

• Account information — your email address, an optional display name, your country, and a password (stored as a salted Argon2id hash; we never store or have access to your actual password)
• Financial information you provide — wallets, transactions, budgets, goals, and debts, whether typed manually, extracted from a photographed receipt, imported from a CSV or bank statement PDF, spoken via voice capture, or forwarded from your email
• Uploaded files — receipt photos and statement documents you upload
• Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor; we never see or store your card number
• Technical information — standard web server logs and error reports, used to keep the service reliable

• To provide the service — track your transactions, calculate budgets, balances, and net worth, generate your health score and coaching insights, and send your weekly digest
• To process subscription payments, via Stripe
• To send transactional email — sign-up verification, password resets, weekly digests, support replies — via Resend
• To extract structured data from receipts, statements, voice recordings, and forwarded emails, using Anthropic's Claude models (see “AI processing” below)
• To monitor and fix errors, via Sentry, configured to never collect personally identifiable information

When you capture a receipt, statement, voice note, or forwarded email, its content is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to extract the transaction details — merchant, amount, date, category. Finanski's coaching and insights are generated the same way. Anthropic processes this data under its own commercial API terms; please review Anthropic's own privacy policy for how they handle data sent to their API.

We use the following subprocessors to run Finanski. None of them may use your data for any purpose other than providing their service to us:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Anthropic — AI-powered data extraction and coaching
• Cloudflare (R2) — file storage for uploaded receipts and statements
• Neon — database hosting
• Vercel — application hosting
• Railway — background job processing
• Sentry — error monitoring, with personal data collection disabled
• Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google

We do not sell your data, and we do not use any third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

Your data is stored on servers located in the United States, regardless of where you access Finanski from.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data — including your financial history, uploaded documents, and account details — is permanently erased, not just deactivated.

• Export — download a complete copy of your data at any time from your Profile page
• Delete — permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time, from your Profile page under “Danger Zone”
• Correct — edit or correct most of your information directly within the app

If you are in the UK or EU, you also have rights under GDPR to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Passwords are hashed with Argon2id and never stored or transmitted in plain text. Every account's financial data is isolated at the database level using row-level security, so one account's data is never visible to another. All traffic to Finanski is encrypted in transit.

Finanski uses a single essential session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Finanski is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this policy as the product changes. We'll update the effective date at the top of this page when we do.
